Ham-related web sites

Recently I went through my list of web sites ham radio related, and I found a lot, I can tell you! I sorted through them to condense the list to this one I offer, which is by no means more than the surface scratched! If you check a few out you will see what I mean, especially if you are an incessant web surfer like I am! I list them here with a very brief description for you-

http://dxworld.com/50prop.html this is a site to report propagation – this is the 50 Mhz page, but wait! they have direct connections to other bands - HF thru UHF.

http://www.artscipub.com/repeaters/  Here's a site many of us can use- it is fairly up to date, and lists repeaters however you like, pretty neat and free too!

http://home.cogeco.ca/~dxinfo/tropo.html This one is for those of you interested in tropospheric propagation- it has maps of propagation listed and forecasts when the bands should open - I find it to be fairly accurate most of the time

http://www.6mt.com/index.htm This is a great site for those of you who operate 6 meters and down - it has lots of topics besides 6 meters - interesting articles and projects for all bands up to 10 Ghz or more!

http://www.w3kwh.com/satellite.htm Lots of satellite stuff!

http://63.231.68.133/ionosphere/DesktopDefault.aspx A good propagation site.

http://www.spaceweather.com/ The name says it all- lots of interesting stuff and links to other sites, and if you are an astronomy buff, this has things of interest as well!

http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Parthenon/4205/xe1bef.htm This site is the best of them all, at least in my humble opinion! This is run by XE1BEF and there are over 20,000 links and topics galore - I have found many an idea or antenna design here - it has it all!

http://www.satscape.co.uk/ If you watch for or use satellites, definitely a must site. Not to mention the Satscape program, a freeware goodie that I keep wondering why it hasn’t been sold instead of free - and YES, it IS that good!

http://www.ac6v.com/ Another ham links site, this is pretty decent- covers topics some of the others don’t.

http://www.k1dwu.net/ Same as the one above.

http://www.dxzone.com/ This is also a good site - it deals with stuff for most bands from .1.8 thru microwave.

OK, I will leave you to check these sites out for yourself, I have found others and if there is any interest I will write them up. In any case happy surfing, and hope you find a few you like or can use!
