ARC needs at least one operator to step forward and volunteer to help with the transmission of the weekly amateur news program "Newsline," Monday evenings on the 146.84 repeater, following our Net. The program is available on the Newsline website. Please contact PARC for more info on how you can help. Frank Massure, KA7CGG, has been doing "Newsline" for PARC and the amateur community on the 146.84 repeater for the past year.
He is recovering from pneumonia but has other health issues he is facing before he can return home. Frank can be heard on the 146.84 from his hospital bed at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. PARC wishes Frank a speedy recovery.
Royal Gunn, KA7ECX, has sent us 2 items of recent note. His granddaughter, Leslie Gunn, KD7WBO, was married to Mike Dobson, KC7NSS, in December. Also, Royal's wife was able to return home after a stay in a convalescent center.
Mary Pittmon, wife of Mel Pittmon, K9MAP, has returned home from a stay in the hospital, and they were able to attend the club Banquet in December. Welcome home Mary!
Lea Ball, AL7W, and Sue Sargent marked their 20th wedding anniversary on December 21.
Among familiar faces that have faded into the woodwork to resurface at the banquet on December 20 was Randy Stimson, KZ7T, the recently appointed ARRL Section Manager. Randy was a PARC member and officer during the reconstruction of the club in 1982 and 1983.
Steve and Jodie Crouch, NO7V and KD7QQW, have bought a house in Dillon, MT as a base for their summer operations. They are snowbirding in St. Petersburg, FL at the present time.
