Bunny Hunt Scheduled

t our July  meeting we were treated to a presentation on Hidden Transmitter Hunting given by several of the Bunny Hunting group participants and planners. The group runs a "Bunny" hunt once a month in the Portland area.

The next hunt is Sunday, September 7th. Starts at Tri-Met Park & Ride, 99th and Halsey, 11:00 a.m. transmitter turn on time.  Hunters can begin hunting anytime after that, up to about 1:30 p.m., and you can start from anywhere. The winner is the one with the lowest hunt mileage. The hunt frequency is 146.560, with a voice frequency of 440.30+, PL 167.9. The hunt boundary is a box formed by the Willamette, Columbia, and Clackamas rivers, with the eastern line running south from the mouth of the Sandy River to the Clackamas river  Those who have no gear can just show up at the start point to ride along with equipped hunters to learn.

E-mail groups associated with PARC

ometimes schedules don't allow everyone to check-in to the weekly net on Mondays to know what is happening with the club.  Also, some topics of discussion may not fit well into a net format, but may fit into a e-mail discussion forum.  Therefore, PARC has several e-mail lists to aid communication among our members.  To send e-mail to everyone on one of these lists, list members may send a message to the address for "posting", and it will automatically be forwarded to everyone on the list as soon as the moderator approves the message.

The lists are to help members be aware of club activities, and encourage club-related discussions among members, as well as help facilitating contesting coordination and other special interest discuss-ions.  All members are encouraged to join as many as appropriate.

Anyone who is registered with Yahoo!Groups may browse each discussion list's web site, which contains an archive of all messages sent out to the group. PARC member not wishing to register with Yahoo!Groups still may join the lists via e-mail, but won't be able to browse the archives.
