control head to the dash with Velcro. Power, control, and antenna cables came up through the floor through holes drilled next to the wall as did my radio grounding shield braid. My battery bank was just below the floor there so the power cables were perhaps three feet long--nice! Be sure both are fused at the battery end though. A short circuit can cause melted cables, fire, and a possible battery explosion so be careful!
My antenna was normally just used when parked so I used a 102 inch whip on top of the coil and stored the whip when
traveling. It worked very well. If you want to use your HF radio on the road, I suggest brazing a ten inch brass rod to a bolt that will fit the antenna thread, attaching a ten foot stranded copper wire to it with a small hose clamp and running it forward to the top of a roof top air conditioner. Use a length of nylon twine for that wire to air conditioner connection.
