       Rickreal Ham fest !

Glen Jones KC7MBM and I ran the booth at Rickreal and had a lot of fun. John White K7RUN and Pete Rodabaugh W7PR brought down some Items, But Glen and I really cleaned out our garages bringing down little treasures. Glen did better than I did I still have some for next time.
We sold most of what we brought down and only had to haul back two boxes for future sale.
We grossed $401.99. Don't ask me where the 99 cents came from maybe I had a few extra pennies in my fanny pack to start with~!
Any way call it $402.00 even. I gave $397.00 in bills to Pete for transfer to the treasurer and counted the change when I got home.
We had an accident on the way down and broke a Large amplifier tube. I mean large, about 10 inches in diameter and 18 inches tall. But being the super salesman that I am, I still sold it for $5.00!
Like I said we had fun!
Thanks to all of you who donated items to the Club for us to sell and a big thanks to John White, he cleaned out two commercial radio stations and donated lots of stuff to us.

For those of you who are ARRL members you probably have already read the article on     "The Warbler -- A simple PSK31 Transceiver for 80 Meters" by Dave Benson, NN1G and George Heron, N2APB in the March QST. For those of you who aren't ARRL members, Why aren't you?
Anyway PSK-31 is the hottest new digital mode to hit the air waves in a long time and this little kit is an easy and fun way get into kit building and PSK-31. I was wondering if any other PARC members would like to order this kit and try out PSK-31. I plan on ordering it and thought some of you might like to start a PSK-31/ 80 meter group to compare results and have an 80 meter PSK-31 Net to work these little jewels on.
I thought they might even work for ARES/RACES emergency communications due to their reputed 200 mile range. Operation would only require a Lap

top computer the Warbler and a portable 80 meter antenna ( Dipole or Etc.)
The kit is $45.00 with all onboard components, shipping included.
Like I stated I plan to order one and would like to hear from anyone else who would like to try out this project. I suppose we could order them in bulk. However no shipping break seems to apply for multiple orders.
You need to be a General Class operator or higher to work 80 meters so if you're still a Tech. Here's one more reason to upgrade.
