CROUCH TRAVELS FEBRUARY 2001 The weather has caught up with Jodie and I! Pismo Beach has heavy wind and rain on March 4th. Could be as much as 5 inches in 24 hours and it sure sounds that way on the roof. Good thing the ground is sand and that big reservoir called the Pacific is a short distance away. Maybe we should have headed for Arizona last month but the "Tall Ships" visit to Moro Bay on March 7th will keep us around a little longer. Besides, one couple moved here to the coast from Yuma because "it was "too cold". Boy is that a change. The area around the Colorado River south of Parker, AZ to Yuma is usually continental USA's warmest place in the winter. Lea Ball, AL7W, and I have been doing a Monday and Thursday schedule on 40 Meter CW at 7:30 pm, 7.015 MHz. Drop in if you get the chance. 80 Meters would be better in the evening but someone needs to help Lea put up that antenna (grin).
