The Christmas Dinner was held at Libby's in Milwaukie Oregon. The turn out was small due to short notice and some found it hard to find, but the people from the S.E. Portland area loved it. They knew where it was and didn't have to travel too far. The food and service was good try it out when your in the area.

It was good to see old friends again. Ron and Mary Mayer were back from Hawaii, but plan to finish selling their house soon and moving into the NEW house they are having built in Hawaii. Check in with soon or you may miss them. We may have a dinner to honor them before they leave, if you would like to help organize it  or would like to attend it let me know.

Neal had some great gifts for the Board members and a few others he wished to humiliate in public.  We plan to retaliate, soon!

We need a volunteer to organize next years dinner, if you don't start early you can't find a place to have it. Any Takers?

The Editor

Darrell KC7AOI and Chuck KC7PDI plan to run the VHF/UHF Contests from atop of Rocky Butte in north east Portland again this year. If you would like to help or put up your own station  let us know. The City has Severe restrictions as to what we can do in their parks. We would appreciate any help we can get!

At any rate we will be up-on-top on the week end of January 20-22nd, come up if you dare. PLEASE try to make a contact with us on 144.200 SSB 145.73 Simplex 50.125 or SSB 432 SSB.
It gets lonely at night when the bands are dead! Give us a call.

If you want to man a station during the contest, please let us know before hand so we can schedule the station operators times.

Hope to see some of you on-top and make lots of contacts.
