The 147.18 PACKET machine is installed, but has spurious emissions. It has been TURNED OFF until such time as it can be brought within spectral purity guidelines. The repeater committee has been working hard to make this happen, and the board says THANK YOU to all involved. Wayne WA7NE is going to be choosing a node name for the packet machine.
General Club Meeting
The October program was a radio test session held by John K7RUN. John tested at least one radio for every member that showed up I think! A big thank you to John for bringing his service monitor and taking the time to check all our radios.
Pat took orders for the new VERY COOL hats. He is not going to place the order until he gets back from Hawaii, so send him an e-mail or call him to get in on this first batch!
The BUDGET will be presented at the November meeting and voted on at the December meeting: please endeavor to attend for these important meetings!
