This year was another stellar performance for the people who volunteered to man their Radios and dedicate their time to make the marathon a SAFE and professional event. Our job is to make the event organizers look good and this year they looked Great. One occurrence comes to mind where we had a report of a downed and injured runner, located between check points. We had aid converging from several points but before they arrived a Ham operator was on the scene to evaluation emergency needs. Luckily it was a minor injury. Quickly handled. But the speed of the response was impressive.
A special thanks to Hugh Ellsworth KB7LJV for organizing the volunteer Ham's and to all the following Volunteers.
