ready to add his or her knowledge and skills to make the training more interesting and FUN for all.

In our October session will be a continuation of the Packet Training Program.
Thanks to Ed Burress (KC7GFX) and Bert Younglove (WA7AXO) we now have a County Packet Program. " Great job guys"! For Our November session the Portland Office of Emergency Management will be doing their family preparedness program. So bring the family.

In November we will be taking part in a Simulated Emergency Exercise or (SET) as we call it. More information will be forth coming. I would like to also like to invite everyone to check in to the County ARES/RACES and Net Team Training Net every Wednesday at 7PM on the 146.840 repeater. This is one way to meet new Hams and to keep up on events.

In closing I would like to thank the members of the Portland Amateur Club and the members Hoodview Amateur Radio Club for the support of the program. And to the PARC repeater group and it's officers for the use of the W7LT repeater system. If not for there support ARES/RACES would not be able to function!

Calling all ARES/RACES members and interested parties. The County Amateur Radio Emergency Services is off and running. I would like to invite everyone to the training sessions. Our new format is to conduct training and help all whom have the desire to help their community. The format is the ARRL Emergency Services Program. Membership is open to all. You do not need to belong to any club to participate in the training or be a member of the program. All we ask is that you come with the commitment to further your Ham Radio skills and the compassion to want to help those in need.

I believe that if we all work together by training as one we will have the best group of trained operators in the District and in the Oregon Section. I know that everyone who has come before me has been challenged just to do that. But in order for this to happen
I NEED YOUR HELP! I can't do this alone and our communities need your help. So please be a part of something I feel well be GREAT! And oh by the way LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!

I will be posting the training sessions so that everyone can be
