McARES NET CONTROL PROCEDURES AND PREAMBLE GOOD EVENING! This is (YOUR NAME & CALL), your net control station calling this evenings' Multnomah County Amateur Radio Emergency Service net. This net meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM on this repeater for the purpose of exchanging information about ARES, including NERT and NET team activities, as well as other items of interest to emergency communicators. All traffic will be accepted and should be in correct NTS format. Also, this is a directed net and all stations are requested to remain on frequency until excused by net control. If you must leave, please advise. Emergency traffic will be handled at any time. (pause for repeater reset) Please check in with your call sign and name indicating if you have traffic, contacts, or other business for the net. Traffic should be listed when acknowledged by Net Control, and passed after the general roll call and announcements. Stations representing emergency groups or agencies are encouraged to indicate their affiliation. The net will now stand by for stations operating only on emergency power.
