Club Activities

Club meetings: Every fourth Friday of the month PARC has a general club meeting at the One Liberty Center building near the Lloyd Center, below is a small map. We have a short business meeting and then a program that varies each month from ARES to Zep antennas, and almost anything in-between. The meeting starts at 7:30 and all are welcome. We sometimes have field trips, so call the numbers below or pick up a club newsletter (The sPARC Gap) at Cascade Surplus Electronics (8221 N. Denver Ave), Ham Radio Outlet (in Tigard), R/5 D/3 (9770 SE Stanley, Milwaukie), or online.

PARC Net: every Monday at 7:00 P.M. on the 146.840 MHz repeater the club has a net primarily to exchange information about club activities and anything that might be of interest to HAMs.

Field Day: We operate from the park at the top of Kelly butte with usually 3 to 4 operating stations as well as a novice station. We operate QRP(5 watts) using batteries which provides a real challenge as well as a lot of fun.

Classes and Testing: Classes are provided occasionally. They provide direction for self study of the material. Our monthly test session is usually for all classes of licenses, including code.

These are just a few of the many activities that PARC is involved in, and we are always ready to look in new directions. If you would like more details, call one of the people listed below.
